What is the cat jam meme?
The cat jam meme, also called catJAM or Vibing Cat, is a looping clip of a white cat named Minette bobbing her head to music. It comes from a TikTok posted on the fifteenth of April, twenty twenty, and became one of the best-known Twitch emotes, used in chat to show you are vibing to the music.

The original TikTok
The TikTok user micklagi posted the clip on the fifteenth of April, twenty twenty: Minette, a white cat, nods her head in time to "I Wanna Dance" by Jonas Blue.
Was the cat really dancing?
No. In an interview with Know Your Meme, Mick Lagi, a friend of the cat's owner, confirmed that he moved her head by hand.
From TikTok to Twitch
The clip became the BetterTTV Twitch emote catJAM on the twenty-fourth of July, twenty twenty, and spread across Twitch after big streamers enabled it. In chat it means you are vibing to the music on stream.
Remixes and the cat trend
The cat was later remixed with the street-musician version of "Ievan Polkka". In twenty twenty-one a TikTok trend had people play the meme for their own cats.
